Unusually, this discusses playing for penalties as a tactic, even when the dealer made a forced 1S opening, against which the maximum penalty was 100 points. It gives background and some rationale for the introduction of the two values for bids in the spade suit. The hands and advice are good but the latter has the feel of an infinite list. It is worth reading as an historical piece.
