This is a handsomely produced book aims to be a self-teacher. The use of colour photographs of bridge hands rather than standard diagrams appeals in this format. The text is reasonable, although it perhap tries to do too much. It touches on five-card majors in a separate chapter and concludes with summaries of Acol and Standard.
