Advice to the young whist player: containing most of the maxims of the old school, with the author's observations on those he thinks erroneous; also several new ones, exemplified by apposite cases, and a method of acquiring a knowledge of the principles on which they are grounded, pointed out to the inexperienced whist player, to which are added observations on short whist.
